Arianne Bennett
Student, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Arianne began playing baritone horn at the age of 7 and participated in many brass bands and youth ensembles as part of the Oxfordshire County Music Service. At age 14, she began learning to play trombone which led to her involvement in the Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra. She has also toured with several youth orchestras to other countries including Italy, Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
In 2018, Arianne accepted a place at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to study on trombone and is due to graduate in July 2022 with a BMus (Hons) degree. During her studies, Arianne has been taught by members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, including Tony Howe and Richard Watkins, as well as taking part in lessons and masterclasses with other noted trombonists such as Carol Jarvis, Peter Moore and Helen Vollam. She has played with several ensembles during her studies such as orchestras, theatre pit bands and chamber groups.
During her studies, Arianne has developed a keen interest in music facilitation for young people with special educational needs and disabilities and intends to pursue a career in this field once she has graduated.
