Jenny Borley

Jenny is a Nurse Consultant at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. Jenny’s NHS nursing career span exceeds 30 years within the Black Country area. Her experience includes Intensive Care, Cardiology, Primary Care, Community and Surgery. Jenny has held senior clinical positions and corporate roles for the past 18 years.
During her career, Jenny has led on many service developments and redesigns across the primary, secondary, tertiary and community interface. Jenny has worked collaboratively with many organisations. Projects undertaken include development of a Palliative pathway for patients living with Chronic Heart Failure; An educational forum for Palliative and Heart Failure nurse specialists; Embedding recruitment of patients (with rare disease) for 100k Genome project within a Heart Failure Service; Satellite clinic for Adult Congenital Heart Disease. More recently, during the Covid 19 pandemic, Jenny was seconded to a vaccination service and was responsible for the development and implementation of a vaccination team that worked across the acute Trust and Primary Care Vertical Integration model of health care. Some of the work undertaken by Jenny has been recognised with regional and national Health and Social Care Awards.
In addition to being passionate about patient care, Jenny also enjoys supporting and developing individuals. Over the years, Jenny has been a visiting lecturer at several Universities for both pre and post registration nursing. She has been instrumental in developing rolling programmes of education whilst working in collaboration between the acute Trust, Primary Care and Community. Jenny was also heavily involved in the creation of a regional support group for Heart Failure Nurse Specialists within the West Midlands.
Over the years, Jenny has been fortunate to speak at several regional and national conferences and contributed to the publication for a service evaluation for Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
