Liz Thiebe

Senior advisor to the NHS in England for Covid Critical Care and Nursing services, Visiting Lecturer at Catolica University, Visiting Lecturer at Birmingham City University

Liz has a strong record of operational and clinical management, leading change and managing very large complex projects.  Her clinical background and managerial skill sets have enabled her to work successfully with both clinical and non clinical leaders and staff to improve the quality of care delivered. 

Liz brings international experience having worked with clinical staff in Portugal, Libya, Qatar, UK , Ireland and the USA. She qualified in nursing at Northeastern University  and gained an MBA from Boston University. USA.  

Her current roles include being a senior advisor to the NHS in England for Covid Critical Care and Nursing services, Visiting Lecturer at Catolica University, Lisbon for the Young Medical Leaders Programme and the HMP programme, Visiting Lecturer at Birmingham City University, Health Sciences Masters Degree Global Health Policy and Visiting Lecturer for the University of Southampton, Health Sciences.

Previous roles for Liz include being the Operational lead, functioning as a board level executive, for UHCW, The King’s Fund and Hamad Medical Corporation. She also led the Leadership Development Directorate at The King’s Fund where she designed and led development programmes for senior NHS leaders. Liz also led the service redesign for UHCW in Coventry as part of the move to the new hospital site in 2006.
